OT - stovetop cleaner

Looking for some information from the folks here.  What do you use to clean the metal on a gas range?   We clean this thing multiple times a week but can’t seem to get the buildup off.

barkeepers friend is great on stainless steel but keep in mind that it is an acid so it can damage cast iron

I had that stove.  I used real 409 to cut the crud.  I used one of those sponges with the scratchy side.  Not steel wool, but just plastic scratchy and 409.  It had to sit a bit.

Since that is porcelain, you can get a little aggressive with stubborn spots, too.

I use Goo Gone, if it's caked on, spray a little area and cover with plastic wrap for a few hours. Most of the time it will loosen and wipe off with light scrub.

Make sure you get the cleaner with the grey stripe label, the one with the red stripe is not the same and doesn't do a good job.
