Table nest with freestanding XL?

I have a new outdoor kitchen and I have just an open spot on granite countertop for my new XL BGE. I would like to use just the metal table nest to rest it on. I know BGE does not recommend this without some form of enclosure. The XL seems more conducive for this because of its wider base.
Is anyone using just a table nest for an XL BGE freestanding?

Nice work, looks great !! I believe BGE recommends that there is some airflow needed underneath?

I wouldn't worry about the XL tipping over there, but definitely get a spacer underneath it.  Whether the table nest, some stacked floor tiles, flower pot feet, whatever.....you need a 1" air gap or you're paying to heat that entire island.

I use just a table nest on my XL.  I put feet at 12,3,6, and 9 o'clock positions.  That provides the most fore & aft stability.  So far no issues.  It is rock solid.
