A rEGGulator Success Story

Buttoning up an earlier post and skeptical as I may’ve been, it is indeed possible to successfully remove the rEGGulator. Needed to actually see it for myself, I guess.

Like many said, gentle tapping around the perimeter of the regulator, tapping the protruding rear notch (whatever it’s called) both directions and periodic twisting with human hands eventually did the trick. Be careful. Also learned that a strip of gasket is not included w/the piece, which is dirty pool.

Now back to regularly scheduled programming …

?? I didn't see your earlier post but did they change the design? I had to double up the original gasket to get mine to stop moving when adjusting it and easily lifts off by hand still.

All three of my Eggs came with a gasket installed with the eRegulator.  Did a dealer assemble it for you?

The dealer assembled it when they delivered it, but when I replaced the regulator, the original gasket was shot. I was surprised a strip of gasket wasn’t included in the box with the new regulator.

Not sure. Got mine new in Nov. 2020, if point of reference helps. This is the first time I had to replace the regulator. A strip of new gasket worked perfectly, nice and snug.
