Whole30 Diet

Anybody done the whole 30 diet?  Looking for some recipe ideas. I’m a long term keto dieter but lately my workouts and runs have been really hard. I feel like I have zero fuel. I’m hoping whole 30 will help get me on track and help find a balanced diet after the 30 days are up.

I have done the Whole30 before.  It was one of my favorite "diets" once I got past the sugar withdrawals.  I do not recall any specific recipes, it was mostly whole foods, a lot of fats are ok (use ghee instead of butter), and basic seasonings.  So many premixed seasonings have sugar and other stuff added.

What makes it hard is all the prep work.  The food can taste great, but nothing is quick about it.

Don't tell your problems to people.  80% of people don't care and 20% are glad you have them.

I ran into similar issues on a very low carb diet and 2 things helped immensely- Upping my salt & electrolyte intake and the occasional berries, potato or 1/2 cup of rice when I knew I had a real burner of a workout coming up. Good luck!

This is often overlooked. Low carb folks (like me) have their kidneys excrete much more sodium than those on a "normal" diet. So it's important to have extra salt in your diet.
