Firebox replacement

I have an older Large BGE. The firebox is cracked in multiple places to the point that it is caving in. If I  Buy a replacement firebox, has there been any radical changes to the BGE recently that I should be concerned about?  Or just order the firebox and egg on?

You really have no choice if you want a new box. Order the new firebox.
If it fits perfectly great. If it doesn’t, reach out to BGE with concerns and they will help make it right. There have been little changes but I believe most were with fire ring on the large egg.

Are you the original owner? You shouldn't have to buy a new one as it would be covered under warranty if you're the original owner.

Depending on just how old your original firebox is the newer ones have a saw cut straight up through them (or at least they did the last time I got 2) to eliminate the inherit stress...
