Remote Temperature Probe - Recommendations Needed

Hello Friends, I would like to purchase a remote temperature probe for roasting things like turkeys and standing rib roasts, etc.  The Big Green Egg version does not get good recommendations on the ACE website.  Please weigh in with your advice.

Thermoworks Smoke.

(BGE may have changed to a different OEM but the remote I bought 8 years ago was a Maverick. After replacing the probes 5 - 6 times in less than 2 years, I was delighted when it finally died.)

I grabbed the Meater+ a while back when Amazon put it on sale.   Have used it quite a bit since then and have been quite pleased.

I have both and use both often.

I bought two meter plus a few weeks back when it was on sale and will probably return. Accuracy is off on meat, and way off on ambient. 

Bought it for rotisserie so the concept is perfect, but temp readings, not so good.

Just bought an Inkbird WIFI to use on my Bronco Drum Smoker.  You can monitor grate temps and meat temps with the 4 probes.  And it’s waterproof. Kind of like how easy it was to program to the phone app.

Yes.

I bought the smoke long before the smoke X4 came out. 

I bought the X4 to control a billows this summer. 

The smoke is a good price point if you only need or want two probes, and don't need or want to run a billows. 

The X4 has a much longer range remote, can run a billows and has four probes. 

I usually use one or the other, but if I've got my BGE and pellet going at the same time I'll use both at the same time.

It was strictly perception based on their marketing, I’m sure it’s a great product.

I have a ThermoWorks Smoke, two Dots and a Meater.  My Bluetooth Dot is my goto.  Simple, fast and easy.

Still going 44 hrs later......

It's not connected to Wifi, nor does it have probes in it, but it's searching for Wifi and my phone can see it (so it's transmitting.....at least intermittently.)

We tried out our new ThermoWorks Smoke on Christmas Day for our 8 lb standing rib roast, following the Grill Girls recipe.  What a well designed and easy to use piece of equipment!  Thank you all for the recommendation.

I use a Thermoworks Smoke and it's been reliable for several years. It's good enough that I got one for a friend for the holiday.
