Firing up BGE for the first time
Howdy, My LG BGE is being delivered Wednesday from ACE hardware. I want to do a quick burn to get used to it before I do a cook. I have about 1/2 a bag of jealous devil. I do not like the taste it puts in the food, well at least with a Weber Kettle. Would this be suitable for the first burn? Will it leave a taste in the grill or should I use some FOGO or Blueshog?

Not really answering your question here.
You may have done it inadvertently, I noticed you have several threads in “off topic” category, this is like no man’s land, hence you’re not getting much if any responses to these threads.
If you click ‘New discussion’ while on Off topic page it will end up in Off topic category. To avoid that, make sure you’re on the main page when you click New discussion, this allows you to select category.canuckland -

It’s all part of learning, belated Welcome btw.
edit: fwiw, folks seldom use Off topic category even when posting OT stuff, they just put OT in the heading, lolcanuckland
