Although the Eagles got all the glory, Poco was my favorite country-rock outfit growing up (they later went straight rock). Crazy Lovin', Rose of Cimarron, Heart of the Night, etc. They also recorded "Bye bye Dallas", a quirky tune written by an obscure CBS songwriting team, Donald Fagen and Walter Becker (Steely Dan!). I played pedal steel from ~1984 to 1991, and Rusty was an inspiration.

@Botch - Been a fan of them for a long time. Them and Buffalo Springfield were part of a lot of later bands we enjoyed. RIP Rusty. Loggins and Messina for one.

Yeah, the family tree for many of those bands is quite tangled; Timothy B. Schmidt (later of the Eagles) is on both albums above.

@Botch - the photos are of my copy of the album, both front and back. When I saw your post my mind went straight to the last song on side one, "Anyway Bye Bye".
