Pulled Pork Serving Question

I am trying to feed leftover pulled pork to a group of 30 Friday night. We have two of the small foil trays from Sams rounded over with pulled pork. Also have a big tray of corn off the cob and two small trays full of baked beans. Not worried about the beans or the corn but will 2 trays packed full be enough for 30? We usually serve about 1/4 lb each on sandwiches for this group. They're pretty heavy but I have no idea how many lbs are in one of those pans. Thoughts?

When you say big pans, are you sayin 4 inch deep x 24? You should figure about 5 -6 ounces (by weight) per person. Men will likly take more....ladies less. If you got a mix, this will be plenty.Ellijay GA with a Medium & MiniMax

Yes 4 inch deep but the smaller pans. Not sure what size but they aren’t 24” long. It’s half that. They’re rounded over though.

The rule of thumb that has never failed me is volume vs. weight. That is one half cup of pulled pork per sandwich for an adult. By experience one raw 8 pound butt yields 9 cups of finished pulled pork. And one other way of computing the needed amount is to divide the number of adult guests by 2.25 which tells you the raw pork weight needed. HTHRe-gasketing the USA one yard at a time

Too bad the OP didn't cook it...but the weight will yield the answer. As above, four ounces person works so with 30 persons x 4 oz = 120 oz total . 16 oz per / lb means 8 lbs will get you there with a bit extra. So go heavier than 8 lbs, load up the sides and take a deep breath. FWIW-Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Are these the pans?
Edit: Actually I have some of those pans and the dimensions on the package are at the top including the lip. They are really more like 10.5 & 8 inches so at 1/2 cup each it is more like 59. That still seems very high, but I think you should be fine to feed 30.Length Width Depth Cubic Inches Cups Number of Pans Total Cups Servings (1/2 cup) 10.5 8 2.562 215.208 14.90618843 2 29.81237687 59.62475 Which came first the chicken or the egg? Yep that’s it. I think we’re good too. They’re rounded over.

The 30 people I know would eat more than 6 oz of pork 😝 of course, I believe in over doing.XL BGE, Large BGE, Small BGE, Weber Summit NGMemphis
