New firebox design

Ok my firebox on my BGE XL broke so now I see that there is a new designed firebox as a replacement.  Looks like a good change to me but wanted some opinions on it.

It changes the height of your cooking grid.  I had an older XL that I bought a platesetter for.  It was too tall in my egg and the dome would not shut with the platesetter and grid installed.  BGE sent me new firebox and firering to replace them.  I hung on to them for so long thinking one day I could use them.  A few weeks ago I got tired of the old ones taking up space and tossed them.  In other words, I like the new ones just fine.
