Picked up a 9# pork butt yesterday.  9# for just me and wife is a lot of leftovers.  Any reason I couldn’t cut in half to cook 4.5 with less leftover, and freeze 4.5 for next time?

I have done just that many times in the past. Or you can cook the whole thing and vac-seal the leftovers and freeze them. When you are ready to have pulled pork again just throw the bag in a pot of boiling water to reheat. Taste as good as the day you pulled off the egg.

Pulled pork leftovers are very versatile. If it's me, I'm smoking the entire nine pounds and freezing the leftovers.
