Cypress Table Question

I am getting ready to build a table for a large and a medium.  Will use cypress with a concrete top.  For those that have built tables with cypress, do you need to use kiln dried.  I am having trouble finding kiln dried 4x4s. Other dimensions are no problem. Thanks for your perspectives.

Unless it’s going in your living room, no. It’s an outdoor piece, so have at the construction lumber.

I've build a couple egg tables and a ton of indoor stuff from cypress.

If the 4x4s are for legs and you're just screwing it together, it will not matters - you don't want to do mortise and tenon joints with wet wood.  If you are using the 4x4s for other stuff where you resaw it, do not us it (it will warp).  If you are putting on a polyurathane or any finish that needs to "stick" to the wood vs some oil that soaks into it, stick with the kiln dried.

If the non-kiln dried is under 10% moisture, you can probably get away with putting a finish on it and (at your risk) doing the things I said not to do above.
