@sumoconnell - It is getting dark and stormy on a personal basis this evening  but that looks like a deboned turkey.  Full props if it is as I am challenged by a simple chix.  Great skin color as well.
    Merry Christmas!
Yes, and that won’t be happening again! It was a breast only. Thanks Frank - merry post Christmas.

@Foghorn Great cook right there.  Nailed that beef.
Then I saw the blonde water...I figure there is hope for conversion in the future  =)
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

No doubt @lousubcap.  No doubt.  It seemed like a good occasion to break out a couple of unopened options in my collection.  I definitely prefer the Glenfiddich to the rum cask Grangestone.

That's an understatement. I can barely keep up with the posts. It's a wonderful reminder of the great cooks chefs on here.

@AprèsSki - Great gift right there.  I'm sure your friends were extremely appreciative.  Quite thoughtful and considerate!
BTW- you nailed that cook across the board.  Impressive plate right there.  Congrats!

I'm in a meat coma.  I probably ate half a pound of brisket and duck while carving.

@Killit_and_Grillit - Great groceries right there.  Love the variation.
Now, that E.H. Taylor "gone in 60 seconds" consumption-that is getting after some great bourbon.  I hope you kept it "close hold" til the last drop  B)

@WVsmokin - any time you nail a flat is a great outcome.  Congrats.  I could inhale some of that right now!
BTW- welcome aboard and enjoy the journey.  Above all, have fun.

My eager duck eater poking the the skin for fat draining.
    @kl8ton

Culver Duck is local to me and we've had thoughts of roasting one of their birds. Duck without birdshot has some appeal, as I've had plenty with. Let us know how it turns out.

Local to me as well.   15 mins from my back yard.   Still haven't gone and purchased one though.   I'm gonna have to pull the trigger.

Honey baked ham for Xmas eve, some pizzas last night, nothing too exciting. But dessert turned out great. We had some leftover tempered chocolate last week and brushed them into silicon molds. The rest is ice cream sundae:

Fantastic bokeh!  Genius how it is the same size and color as those red and green food particles.

@joshpounds90 - That is quite a spread of top quality proteins right there.  Nailed the beef cuts.  Congrats.
Way to get after it in Brooklyn-I'm sure there were many envious neighbors as the smells were wafting thru the area.

  • @lousubcap I lost 2 senior officers to the great bourbon Christmas heist of 2020. The Full Birds did not fair well.

I have quite a few bourbon lovers around my table during the holidays. But, I will say I cracked them open to protect a knob creek 15, a few bottles of a Blanton’s, a newly acquired Weller antique and a full proof Elijah Craig single that is magical at the high 130’s.

Bourbon as in war. It’s a chess game of sacrifice for victory.  ;)
