From the monthly cars and coffee gathering (Since I have only caught one in the wild I have to visit the gatherings): Posting only three pics but there were around 200 cars, great majority Corvettes, Porsches and Mustangs. One RR, couple of Ferraris, three 57 Cheys, no Lambos this month. A whole lot of one-offs, some of which I have posted here before.

Great weather.

I love that generation of Corvairs. Such an under appreciated vehicle."The pig is an amazing animal. You feed a pig an apple and it makes bacon. Let's see Michael Phelps do that" - Jim Gaffigan

First one of these I’ve seen in the wild.

In 1991, I was a student at the University of Iowa. Ralph Nader was running for president (as he always seemed to do) and was going to speak on campus one day. The Corvair club of Iowa drove their cars to the site of his speech. I, of course, was more interested in the cars than the speaker, so I took a look. The one I will always remember had a license plate that read "NUKFADR". I have had an affinity for Corvair owners since that day!lousubcap said:From the monthly cars and coffee gathering (Since I have only caught one in the wild I have to visit the gatherings): Posting only three pics but there were around 200 cars, great majority Corvettes, Porsches and Mustangs. @GrateEggspectations - Once I heard about the Triple F Collection I also learned a new word...hypercars. Those are the ones that orbit well above anything I could hope to sight or find. But they are quite impressive and worthy. Your neighbour may have a few lurking as does your BIL have on order. To be so lucky!

Saw this today, in the rain and cold blustery weather.

Took quite a road trip with a college buddy one summer waaaay back in the day in one of those. Upstate NY across the Trans-Canada (aka GWN) Highway (even in August northern Lake Superior is serious shrinkage COLD!) to Lethbridge then left turn thru then Waterton-Glacier National Park , Yellowstone, Tetons and more in Utah to the Grand Canyon. Pivot back northeast thru the four corners, Mesa Verde over the Rockies and downslope back east. Definitely on the cheap but one he!! of a ride!Ozzie_Isaac said:Saw this today, in the rain and cold blustery weather.

Liked the green one I used to ride in from PAFB to the Cape and back when I was assigned to the Naval Ordnance Test Unit way long ago. I was 6'2" so the owner was kind enough to put the hard top down before going to work. Fun ride as @lousubcap stated above, but the driver never put the top back up when we got to work. The early afternoon rain showers would come off the ocean and dump water in the car. He never did learn.Ubi panis, ibi patria.

That is exactly like the one I have. I actually have several. I have never washed them. The cones. . . not the cars. They stack nicely and collapse if you were to fall on them. Highly recommend.GlennM said:Car show in Guelph today, only 2 sideways 🙄
