Lamb chop Costco - Sunday night live
Buckwoody Egger
Posts: 832
Getting started in a few. Will reply adding pics as I go. Costco lamb chops, beer, wine.
Enjoying Jerry Jeff Walker (RIP) radio on Spotify. Added a short shepherd hook to my adjacent dry storage table and dusted off an old Coleman lantern. Drilled holes to match diameter of front and stabilizer rod (they’re different) then a little push and a lot of rubber mallet.
By the way, that little pan in the nest on the ground is same size as a solo stove ranger. a ranger size will fit in the large nest if you want to raise it off the ground a foot or two and raise hell pushing it down the street. Not recommended. Just sayin.

here we go. Egg around 475. Will work the hot and cool spots and for these elephant ankles.
zucchini on raised half grid in a old basket thing

Flipped lamb after one rotation. Messed with zucchini. Starting 2nd beer.
-
2nd beer exploded on open. Would have been pissed but “just us kids” was on Spotify and wanted to wipe and hurry back to hear it. Not investigating pausing Spotify if it just enables being annoyed at little stuff.

Most chops hit 130 except two. Zucchini slow it was out of the fridge less than chops. La freeway by JJW Great song.

Zucchini playing catch-up. Ray Wylie Hubbard song with a line about telling cops caught him with coke but he just likes the smell. Coincidentally used that line at age 14 about a can of Hawken. Directionally similar but worlds away. -
Close enough. Headed to eat.

Plated and cut. Smoky and tender. Have a great Sunday night. Until the after party.

looks great! I did those last weekend with a EVOO, garlic, rosemary, thyme paste to marinate. They were fantastic.Good tunes also!Canton, GA

Thanks! We have a huge rosemary bush for some stuff but go without on the chops. After party: I prefer closer to rare than cut pic but we make great couscous and other salads with remaining chops. These were more rare closer to the bone. This was a fun way to post because the pressure was on not to drop the plate. Lol. The wine was just over $10 with a discount. Follow costco wine blog if you don’t already. Seasoning for both lamb and z was just kosher salt, pepper, very light garlic powder. Dinner time was Fleetwood Mac radio because I am married. Good times and enjoy eggin.
