Wow, Darian...Looks delicious!  And here a couple nights ago I thought you two might be at some shelter way UP inside TX eating sandwiches from a SA emergency truck!

It could have played out exactly that way.

Honestly, rather have the crispy edges around the ribeye and just have the bacon on the side.
Enough fat moisture in the ribeye that the bacon doesn’t crisp well.

A secret I've learned about cooking with bacon on the grill:  Blanch the bacon for five minutes in boiling water.  It takes out a lot of the moisture and some fat, allowing the bacon to crisp up much better on the grill.

I have par cooked bacon to use with ABTs.
I honesty think it’s just not great with a fatty meat like ribeye because it has enough fat rendering that at best the outside of the bacon gets a little cooked. Inside part of bacon is still not cooked much. It’s great on tenderloin both beef and pork and chicken. But I don’t think I will try again with ribeye. Just my thoughts

SWMBO saw this, she's thinking of doing a bacon lattice wrap to go around the ribeye. :D
