New Gasket and Bands for the Large

About 6 weeks ago a put a Rutland gasket on my mini max and learned a lot from that install, so now it was time to do the same for may large.  This time I asked my daughter to lend two spare hands for about 15 minutes and that seemed to me to make a ton of difference.  Much easier and went much faster.  

Two weeks ago I went to my local dealer to get the new style bands for my large and installed them as well.  Going to give it a go this weekend, but wow what a difference.  The gasket is far superior to the BGE gasket and the new bands also seem like a major upgrade.  

My large is now in better condition than it has been in years.  Ready to egg on.

i need to do the same. So the bands are a new design? i need to look at them. mine is about 15 YO...getting long in the tooth.

Keep them joints on the band oiled a couple times a year and don’t replace them for no reason.
