Loving the wok...

Morning All:

Even though it is HOT out there, using the wok can be pretty quick...everything in place to begin...rice, cashews, onion, carrot, soy sauce, sesame seeds, eggs, rib & chicken meat & bacon grease...

cook the onion & carrots first in bacon grease, set aside, then cook the eggs in bacon grease, set aside, then the rice (in bacon grease) for a bit before adding the other items & mixing it all together...almost ready to come off...

Rice got some nice "crispy"...my bowl about ready to be devoured...

Plus no leftovers...very nice meal!

Have a GREAT day!

The wok is definitely a great addition to a cook’s tool kit. The egg is great because you can reach temperatures that would be hard to achieve in the house. Plus - it’s a ton of fun. I wish you many good cooks to come.

Large BGE & Mini Max for the wok. A few old camp Dutch ovens and a wood fired oven. LSG 24” cabinet offset smoker. There are a few paella pans and a Patagonia cross in the barn. A curing chamber for bacterial transformation of meats...
"Bourbon slushies. Sure you can cook on the BGE without them, but why would you?"

If you live anywhere near central Alabama, I have a large cast iron Lodge wok that needs a new home.

    Morning @loco_engr :

Nothing special, just basic white rice...cooked it early this morning so that it had all day to get a bit drier.

    Have a GREAT day!
