Smoking a pair of 2 inch thick pork butts

Does it make sense to inject and rub the 2 2-inch thick butts then stack and smoke them together, and after a couple of hours, re-arrange the outsides to the inside, then continue smoking until it's time to wrap? Then wrap them separate until they hit 205 temp? Or, what?

It's terrible when someone grabs the wrong cut for you to smoke!

So they're like 2” thick pork steaks? I'd leave them separated and smoke on. Expect a much sooner finish

Yep, like thick 3 1/4 pound pork steaks. 3 1/4 pounds each. Low and slow, then wrap to finish the cook, then hold in the cooler for an hour
