Are there any other reasons, other than not being level, that a dome won’t stay open? I just replaced the hinge and now it won’t stay open.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Alrighty then.....but question...if those (tabs) beside the handle look just like the Egg on the BGE site; how can it be upside down? Maybe I’m just not thinking clearly.

Don't want to be an alarmist...but I'd sure get my egg further away from that window in picture no. 1 if I were you.

Would you mind sharing a picture of the front so I can see the Tabs beside the handle?

If those are older hinges assemblies, perhaps they moved the spring to the other side when they redesigned it. I just can’t envision those tabs going any way but how they are in my photo.

The tabs in the front are correct.
The hinge assembly in the back needs to be unbolted and flipped.Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas -

The bands are interchangeable. There isn’t a top or bottom band. The hinge and handle can be put in the wrong place. 50% success isn’t bad. I’ve done it, I realized it before installing on egg, luckily, but I’ve been there.
