I've checked these discussions, but I apparently need to adjust my levels of caffeine and/or whiskey to be able to pull out the information that I need:

I just need to have longer wires (food and pit).

I've got a few of the stainless probes incoming from Omega:

I've found this item on Amazon, which seems to be right:
https://smile.amazon.com/K-Type-Thermocouple-Temperature-Fiberglass-Insulation/dp/B0768FFYC1/ref=sr_1_21?crid=2AUDET0508AGR&dchild=1&keywords=k+thermocouple+high+temp&qid=1590943020&sprefix=k+thermo+couple+high+tem%2Caps%2C166&sr=8-21

I've trimmed the wires over the ages, and would also like to allow for some additional slack in there.  I have limited soldering experience, but don't mind putting in some time and cash to learn.  I'd appreciate it if someone would point out the message or image that shows where I need to attach/connect the additional wire.  I'm just not sorting it out.  Thank you!
