This almost looks worth gambling $10 on. Anyone use one of these?

Never used one, but this looks like one of those nail looking for a hammer type products. What do you see yourself cooking that would benefit from one of these?South of Nashville - BGE XL - Alfresco 42" ALXE - Alfresco Versa Burner - Sunbeam Microwave

I have a fine-wire basket that I use for small shrimp, stringbeans, mushrooms, etc that I'd use a lot more often if it weren't such a pain to clean (doesn't fit in the sink, have to scrub both directions both inside/out, etc. This thing looks like it'd take 20 seconds, tops, to clean.SonVolt said:Never used one, but this looks like one of those nail looking for a hammer type products. And, yeah, broiling an egg on my Egg would be cool, too! Where's your Accessorize gene?

That’s where I use a good old fashioned griddle set over the fire.

Looks like a frogmat, but less expensive. I have a couple of frogmats, and they’re great. But that website looks goofy. I’d be wary about giving them my credit card info.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX.

I don't see the point.

Thanks @loco_engr and @caliking for the tip, I hadn't heard of "Frog Mats" before. Amazoid doesn't carry them but did have other solutions that were inexpensive, will be springing for one.

I have a friend who uses the fine mesh grill mats like this one for camping. It works fine but I am not sure it would be any different than a sheet of foil on the grill.

Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg. -
The mats are mesh, so I was assuming the smoke would get through, better than on foil. I could be wrong (I thought I was, once before, but I was mistakenSmokeyPitt said:I have a friend who uses the fine mesh grill mats like this one for camping. Mine should be here next week, and it's the ease of cleaning I'm anxious about. I'll report back.“All you need in this life is ignorance and confidence, and then success is sure.”
