Slicer just got delivered.. Need your pork belly CURING bacon recipe, por favor..

Greetings friends..

I mentioned doing a bunch of cooks for others during my lay off and someone recommended a pork belly bacon cook. So. I ordered a cheap slicer.

Costco always has pork belly (so far). But - I’ve never knowingly cured ANYTHING.

A simple curing recipe you think is the “go-to” would be a great reply here. :) aaaand - if you have recommendations beyond that haha. First time, for me.

Thanks! I hope you are all very healthy and you and yours are happy and well through all of this.

This one seems to be a mainstay and one I have used with good results.

Word to the wise- after soaking test fry a piece for taste. If it’s too salty now is the time to soak longer. It doesn’t work after smoking- I ruined about 7 lbs learning this lesson.

i have curing salt if you need any- let me know
