First Spatchcock chicken

First time trying this.  I went 400 raised direct.   I was surprised that it only cooked for 50 mins.   Everything I read was saying about an hour and a half.   There was nothing left so I’ll take that as it was good.

Raised direct is the way to go imo.

I also had spatchcock chicken tonight. Hadn’t cooked one in a while and saw some nice looking whole birds at the grocery store. Seasoned mine with Meat Church  The Gospel.

Only way I go on whole birds but I go indirect. Either way it’s great.

Looks good.  I just ordered some dizzy pig rubs but I’m absolutely going to look in to some Meat Church rubs.
