Cracked XL Base

I know this isn’t exactly an uncommon happening, but I was cleaning out my XL yesterday before installing a new Rutland from RRP, and I found a crack in my base. Not sure how long it’s been there, but I’ll bet it’s been a while. It’s been at least a year, maybe 2,  since I pulled all my guts out for a good clean out. 

Has anyone filed a warranty claim since this pandemic took off?  I’m not sure if the mothership and/or the distributors are even open right now to get me a new base. Not to mention that my local dealer is an Ace, and I’m sure they have bigger fish to fry right now. So worst case, I can just keep cooking with the crack and no gaskets for the short term. 

Last but not least, what’s the best path forward on the gasket situation when I get the new base? I assume they have a gasket on them. Am I better pulling off a brand new factory gasket and installing the Rutland to match my dome that is already gasket-less? Or do I suck it up and install a factory gasket on my dome to match the new base?
