Wild boar bone in shoulder
A friend just dropped off a wild boar shoulder that my guess weighs in at 12-15 lbs. It is still partially frozen, by that I mean some of the meat is solid and some of the outer is just cold.
Can I go ahead and re freeze it or would there be any concerns. He said it has been out for 1.5 hours.
Thanks in advance.

Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

Go ahead and re-freeze. It’s not an ideal situation but it definitely won’t ruin it.Check out Steve Rinella and Meatear. They’ve put out a bunch of information on wild game care, re-freezing included.

I'm in the camp of firing up the egg and cooking it. Then you can distribute and freeze in usable quantities
