Morning All:
Some people would say I'm crazy to fire up a large Egg for only a couple skewers of shrimp...
however these were added to a bowl of penne pasta with Alfredo sauce for dinner (plus a salad)...one skewer had DP Pineapple Head & the other Meat Church Honey Bacon BBQ rub)...Kathy's bowl...
Oh yeah, the "real" reason to use the Egg for the shrimp is that Kathy made some more mini-pies...this time blueberry...here she is finishing up one set...
Then on the Egg for baking...
Made a total of 14 mini-pies...finished picture of 11 as three have already been devoured...
They was GOOOOOOOOD!

Ahh, the pies are a bonus. Any opportunity to fire the egg up is a therapeutic one for me. Nice work!

Some people would say I'm crazy to fire up a large Egg for only a couple skewers of shrimp...I used that as my excuse to buy a Small, too.

Those pies look fantastic!"Dumplings are just noodles that have already eaten" - Jon Kung

I would have eaten the shrimp as an appetizer, and polished off all the pies for dinner

Oh yeah....I'd eat all of that!

You never have to justify the size of the cook. We bought ours eggs to use...
nice cook! I’d have been all over that.Coleman, Texas
Large BGE & Mini Max for the wok. A few old camp Dutch ovens and a wood fired oven. LSG 24” cabinet offset smoker. There are a few paella pans and a Patagonia cross in the barn. A curing chamber for bacterial transformation of meats...
"Bourbon slushies. Sure you can cook on the BGE without them, but why would you?"

Morning All:
thank you for the comments...I agree there is no bad time to fire up an Egg, though if it had been only the shrimp I probably would have used the small Egg!
Have a GREAT day!

Awesome! I would light the Egg even for 1 shrimp, but probably the small one. I love the pasta, and the pies look heavenly!Southlake, TX and Cowhouse Creek - King, TX. 2 Large, 1 Small and a lot of Eggcessories.
