Charred Oak Infused Corn Whiskey

100 proof corn whiskey “moonshine”, infused with kiln dried charred oak. Oak chunks were cooked at 400*, caveman style for 5 minutes. Now soaking in the whiskey for 7 - 10 days. One of the two jars has a teaspoon of vanilla extract soaked into the oak char before infusing. Hoping to “age” this white corn whiskey.

Not a whiskey drinker here, but looking forward to see how this comes out.

I always bought the stuff in unlabeled mason jars or gallon milk jugs. It came from the western part of the Commonwealth. Very smooth, and high octane.
