tips for traveling with egg?

heading to a competition next weekend and I have to travel with the egg about an hour and a half away from my hometown of Vegas.  Anyone else travel with an XL?  Was just planning on wrapping the pieces in towels and having them ride separately on the floor of the camper but was wondering if anyone had some pointers from experience, def don't want to have a catastrophic event where we break something on the way.

I can’t find it now but there was a really cool unit that you could use to load a BGE in a truck a travel with on here a few weeks ago. Anyone remember and have the link?

Depends on what you are driving. If you have a truck, take the insides out and put the egg as close to the cab in the bed and strap it down. I traveled all the way from Winnemucca to Vegas with mine like that.

I use paint stirrers to separate ceramics and shims between bowl and ring to stop side to side movement and strap the whole thing down
