For those with the Grate Stacker, can you just use the stock BGE grate with the Stacker and auxiliary (second-tier) grate, or do you have to also swap out your stock grate for a Smokeware one to accommodate the Stacker? I assume the former, but wasn’t able to find anything on their website speaking to this aspect.
Was thinking about pulling the trigger for my MiniMax.
Thanks.

You have to pay attention when you install the clamp for the pivot point. It has a built in cant I believe to counter the eventual weight you will put on it. Enjoy.

@pgprescott: “Can’t I believes” are engineering marvels that truly cannot be believed. 😉

Thanks.I instead flip my ps woo ring upside down and add a grid on top and that works much better -
@unoriginalusername: Thanks for the input. That’s valuable info.

I was wondering while following this thread just how much room are you gaining on the MM? I already have my thermometer raised and sometimes it still hits. Not hating just asking.
Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

Had forgotten about this thread.I should update to say that I did ultimately get the Grate Stacker for the MM and have been rather pleased with it. I can’t be bothered with clamping it to the fire ring so instead just center the swing hinge right in the back of the MM. This way, the balance of the top is never thrown off by the swinging action.
