Well - let's see...here's my response I posted way back in January, 2020 and it still rings true so if nothing else I MIGHT be saving you a never ending headache for what seems to be a simple solution! My reference was about those large plastic tubs and containers.
I have done the same for years and have bought large ones from Target and a couple other places. You probably are asking why I have bought many...the damn squirrels chew the tops off!!! So they aren't waterproof anymore!
