As it states. I see 30-50 dollar choices all over amazon. Looking to buy whole roasts and cut my own steaks and freezing.

I've used the same FoodSaver for over 10 years, never given a bit of trouble. They have deals going that may be of interest to you......LBGE, LBGE-PTR, 22" Weber, Coleman 413GGreat Plains, USA

I have a foodsaver, have had them for years. But ever since I got my Vacmaster VP215 chamber sealer, I haven't used it.If you process high volume, the chamber sealer bags are a fraction of the price and you don't worry about liquids. You can seal up soup, gravy, tools, stuff with pointy bones, you name it.I got it on woot.com for $499.

And the chamber sealer allows you to control the amount of vacuum. Too much hurts fish, for example.

After years of Foodsaver, I bought a Vacmaster Pro 350. Love it~ John - https://www.instagram.com/hoosier_egger

You've already gotten sage advice.OTOH I want to throw you a curve ball...my $40 Food Saver is at least 16 years old now. Just how much do you plan to use your sealer? My name is Ron Pratt and I've posted here for 20 years as RRP. For a while in November I was unable to sign in. So I reverted to this old moniker from years ago and just wandered in these woods as one_feral_kat ^oo^~

Looked at your profile photo and thought “what the duck?”

Just want to seal steaks and other random meats for freezer storage. So I will not be using it much at all. I am sick of ziplocks and getting some freezer burn.

Any comments on this one?
With respect to the profile photo, it was in the Nikon photo booth at the CES 2019 trade show in Vegas. I also snagged a few ducks for my daughterXL BGE and Kamado Joe Jr. -
I have not had that model but the fancy foodsavers have been junk. You want something simple like this:

Any comments on this one?The FM5460 is the one that I have. I bought mine originally from Costco and it came with a 5 year warranty. I don't know what the warranty is if purchased elsewhere, so be sure to check. My first one lasted about 2 years then broke. I got a new one under warranty. The second one lasted another 2 years and broke. The third one is currently on its way to me.I buy bags from Amazon produced by FoodVacBags.I use mine frequently. The reliability hasn't been great, but they do stand behind their warranty - plus buying it from Costco has other replacement possibilities.Large BGE

Just look at the reviews and I think you can pick something out just fine.

I'm a fan of food saver. I've had mine for a few years now. I use it pretty regularly and it works great!

I have the big game food saver, it can seal many many bags in a row without stopping to let it cool down. Big time saver. I think I have done 50 seals in a row once.
