New BGE Hinge

Hey all! I just got the hinge for my large egg from a warranty claim. I contacted my dealer, sent him some pics, and had the go ahead from BGE within an hour. My question is where can I find a video on the install? I have been able to find some on the old style hinge, but none on the new style. Any help would be appreciated.

There are directions in the box. They are so easy that there aren’t even any words . Just pictures . I just did it this week. Piece of cake . Trust me.

put it all together from the pic directions in the box. the lower level shows 4 extra studs for shelving.dont tighten the slotted studs, just leave them loose. put it all together according to the picture. tighten lower band bolt on base, slip dome on, using the plastick spacers as shown. tigthen band bolt. slide dome to center and tighten the slotted holed studds. its pretty straight forward. then add springs, hook opening on springs go down so they dont fall off

Thanks for all the tips. Did exactly what you all suggested and put it all together off the egg. I will mount it tomorrow after I clean off my olgasket and install a new one. I did not see any torque range for screws?

So what was so bad on your original hinge that you were able to get a replacement under warranty?  I thought the hinge was not covered.  I replaced my hinge maybe 3 years ago, but it was still the old style.

Good video.  Quick question.  What does everyone use for the air gap for a small egg?   The nest only goes down to a medium.

3 quarters on a patio block works well enough, the small doesnt rocket up to 1200 degrees like the larger eggs

Ok sounds good.  Never thought of that.  What about the ceramic feet?

The old hinge was never staying tight and I kept getting an underbite. I installed it this morning and it was pretty simple. I tightened the nuts until the screws bent like it showed in the picture.
