OT question about a Gas cooktop

Gave my Capital Culinarian a good cleaning today. Now of the six eyes, only one will light easily. I also have a couple of burners where about half of the holes actually have a flame. I punched all the clogged holes with a nail, so I know they aren’t plugged up. Any suggestions?

Maybe I need to look...do they have a venturi that might have closed, moving it around?

I always had this when cleaning the Wolf and I have it in the camper.  I just keep wiping burners with a wet rag to rinse.  If you get half the burner to light, just let it burn.  The rest of if the ports will eventually open.   Give it 5 minutes.

I recently had trouble lighting / maintaining a flame on my camper burners. I ended up changing the regulator and then all was good, so I guess something had given up in the regulator and was restricting the flow / pressure.

My gas stove doesn't light when the cast iron burner "caps" aren't aligned properly.  I adjusted those and everything was fine.

have to say that these newer propane tanks suck. you light the grill too aggressively and theres no heat, shut it down, disconnect it, reconnect light again, repeat procedure til it lights correctly.  damn propane refill place has been over filling, blew a regulator apart, this last weekend the valve froze with ice and didnt shut down correctly, lost a full bottle of gas. i would say end of rant but this is going to be on going =)  with the stove, turn it on high and wait it out and if theres a ceiling fan on, that wont help either

2nd the opinion that it may be pressure related. If you turn tank on too quickly, it can lock up pressure regulator on tank.

Make sure the grill is off and turn the gas off on the tank. The first couple turns on the tank when opening it do it really slow. The blackstone pizza oven is really bad at this the tank limits flow if you open it up fast and it won’t get over like 300 degrees.
