Such a great day with great food, people, and music. This is why the event sells out in minutes each year. Met Dr. BBQ and saw a lot of great chefs today. Inspired to grill but will do that tomorrow. So full from today's experience.

Rookie mistakes to not repeat:
Hit the ground running to eat samples from each table... slow down there was plenty of food all day. 
October in Atlanta is still hot. Friend of mine wore jeans and long sleeves and was miserable.
Buy or bring a tailgating plate.  Easier to hold your drink and food when walking around.
Bring a chairs, tent, cooler, table... there is plenty of space on the outer perimeter to post up for the day.  This also creates a gathering point.
Ask questions.  Everyone had great tips and tricks.  Heard some great stories and had some laughs.
