Temp gauge calibration

Options
Been a few years since I checked my temp gauge. I had a idea as it was running a little hot. So when I checked it was showing 100 degrees cooler than the real temp. Crazy. That problem has now been corrected.

Glad you got it corrected. Hopefully you don't have to relearn how to cook when your thermometer is correct. We check all of our therms at every competition we do since it is hard to have consistent cooks when the reading is incorrect. They should be checked whenever you have a hunch it may be off, or at the very least once a year. Cheers. Chris

I am anal about "believing your indications" so I will check the calibration prior to most low&slow cooks.  Only takes a few minutes.  I have only had  to make one adjustment (10*F) to the Tel-Tru's over that past several years.  Very solid analog device.  FWIW-
