I picked up a run in the morning from Tyler, TX to Woodstock, GA and will have an overnight.   Any decent places to eat nearby?  Thanks in advance.

Haven't eaten there myself but heard lots of good things about Freight Kitchen & Tap.

Thanks Guys...we dropped yesterday and I had an 11 hour deadhead home so no chance to check anything out.  Suppose to get this run again so maybe I’ll overnight and check things out.

I live in Woodstock. Looks like I am a little late...but just in case you do get another trip.

There are a lot of good restaurants our little downtown area. As mentioned above Freight and Pure are both pretty good. I think my favorite is Century House Tavern.

It is a pretty small place so if you can just get downtown you can walk around and check places out. A couple of my favorites:

    https://saltfactorypub.com/

If you like beer there is a brewery downtown.

A new place just opened that is attached to reformation:

I have not eaten at this location, but I have eaten at another at the Canton location and it was very good.

Another cool place is Truck and Tap that features a different food truck every day.

Truck and Tap is a cool little bar and they also have a great beer selection, but it is usually pretty crowded. I often just grab a beer at Reformation and then walk to the truck.

One other thing that is cool is within the downtown area open container is allowed, so you can grab a beer anywhere and walk around with it.

Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

@SmokeyPitt  Thank you for all the suggestions.  I hope I get a chance to check Woodstock out.  The only issue is the way the trip is broken down.  We make it to exit 5 off the 20 before driver runs out of time and that makes only 80 miles the next day till we drop so we’re done before 12:00 and I have an 11 hour deadhead to deal with or have an unpaid overnight.

Yep, but that was back in the day when a shot of penicillin cured whatever you may have contracted...we’re just about to the point where you stick your d**k in and you blow up.

That does seem like a logistical challenge. Sounds like you just need an 80 mile head start!
