OT - Carbon Fiber Guitar

  • After placing my order, I had a question that I sent via online form field. Got a call from the owner and had a good chin wag. He’s totally helping me out. Pretty cool to get a call from the owner. Going to try to help him out by suggesting some Canadian retailers. So far, this company impresses me.
  • Just a quick check-in to say that I’ve now had about a week with this guitar under my belt and I’m really loving it.

Great fit and finish. Volume surprisingly good for a smaller bodied guitar. Very resonant and good note definition. Sounds great plugged in.

Action was high upon arrival. I’ve sanded the saddle a little and will take a nut file to it in the coming week.

Upon ordering, I realized a mistake I made and contacted the company. Received a call from one of the owners, who corrected the issue, and chewed the fat for a bit.

This guitar has earned a permanent place on the main floor, right next to the kitchen and dining room.

  • I’d love to do a quick video, but file size is too big.

YouTube and a link over might be the best way.

    Congrats on the purchase!

Thanks. I used to have a few guitar videos on YouTube, but I’m pretty private and I try to limit the sharing of my personal information, hence wanting to upload something directly here.

Thanks!!! A lot of fun so far. Just happy to have something that doesn’t mind the temp and humidity fluctuations (and that is portable to boot!).

I completely understand about being private with YouTube. I'm no Youtube expert but I believe you can make the videos private. You can upload them and send out links or post a link for people to watch but won't come up otherwise when searching for it.

Just wanted to pass the info along if you ever needed for something in the future for uploading videos.

    Congrats on the new Instrument!
Very interesting neck attachment, and by "portable" does that mean you actually detach the neck for travel (the bag seems to suggest that)?  Needs to be re-strung then?
Since Keyboard magazine went under, I don't keep up on the latest toys very well, sorry for all the questions.

  • @Botch: Thanks. Neck comes off in seconds and goes back on just as quickly. No need to restring. Only a cursory tune is required after reattaching neck. Really quite ingenious.
