Never tried them but I heard Black (contains charcoal powder) is good on beef, Red is good on chicken wings.

Not a big fan of the black. Makes the meat juice all black and gritty.
But really like the Red.Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas -
HC Black is my current commercial favorite for brisket. Really delivers the bark. I recently bought some of the HC Red but have not used it.

I would even buy plain salt if Jess Pryles was selling it. Just take my money.....

A friend of mine gave me some of both the other week. I’ve tried the black on steak and I can’t wait to try the red on some chicken.

Huge fan of the HC Black for steaks, great presentation and doesn't over power the steak. Red is great on pork and chicken. I've also got the Camo but haven't used it yet. I would definitely get some!

Why would you want to eat charcoal powder? What's the benefit?Canugghead said:Never tried them but I heard Black (contains charcoal powder) is good on beef, Red is good on chicken wings.

Makes the outside of the steak black for those who can't properly sear a steak.lolBrisket_Fanatic said:

Don't know about steaks but HC Black results in a great bark on brisket. Aged charcoal for the winPhoto Egg said:
