Well, maybe I like it now (Rockwood)

One thing Really don’t enjoy is an afternoon shopping stores like TJ Maxx, Homegoods, Marshall’s and others. However, sometime you have to “ take one for the team” and keep your bride happy. Well, I was walking around the local Homegood’s minding my own business, when I turned the corner and saw a few sacks of ROCKWOOD!  I could not believe it.  I checked the price (wow),I turned around when straight to the front and picked up a basket. Loaded 4 bags (all they had) and headed to the checkout. On my way to check out, found 6 more bags and loaded them up..  They had 10 and 20 pound bags and I think I bought all they had!  Well, maybe I will shop with her more.😀

    ......actually I would simply apply the ol “Ha pick me up some of that Rockwood while you’r out” line myself.

    How much were they?  You can also find good deals on Lodge products at those stores.

    I paid $9 and change for the 10lbs bags and $17 and change for the 20 lbs bag.  No Tax . I thought it was a great price.  D

    Rockwood is about all I use. Sometimes I can find it local, but mostly order the 3 bag deal with free shipping. I have also ordered the wood chunks and like them as well. But after I found the mother load yesterday, I am set for a bit.

    P.S.  I am going back to that store later in the week and see if they might have a few more bags. Not one person working there knew anything about it or where it came from. Was told they have never seem charcoal in the period. Strange deal, I am happy!
