Dimension X for new large hinge plus table nest
James MB
Posts: 359
So, I've read lots of posts, some of which seem to suggest that the TNW "Dimension X" should be reduced for the table nest - I think it should be increased!
I was aiming for c 17" but wonder if I need to extend this a little?
So what is a good dimension X for a table for a Large with the new style (Acacia handle) bands?
Also - out of curiosity do people prefer their eggs on the left or on the right

I believe 15" is all you need. The new bands def require less clearance. I have at least 2 inches of play and I built my table at 15" -- (that's from the egg base to the the table top). Using a table nest that's 1.75" tall means you can drop your egg base by that much.
It also becomes about " how high do I want my egg?" Personally I prefer it to sit lower. -
Thanks, yes I want my egg as low as possible in the table, on a table nest for charring safety.
