@SmokeyPitt house is ocean city NJ on boardwalk .
If it were me I would be thinking seafood.  I have spent some time up that way and only ate in restaurants, but had some great seafood. Maybe @Sea2Ski can make some recommendations. i think he is just across the bay.
Know what? I am in Cape May just about every weekend, and I can be of no help. I routinely cook ahead of time for 6 and we bring that to the boat and eat what I bring Friday night or when out fishing.  When we come back, we eat what we catch. We rarely - if ever go out to eat and fight the crowds.

I will say that while on the boardwalk, get Johnson’s popcorn “lid off” (you get an extra scoop or two, but still get the lid). That is my kryptonite and can not say no to it. Hide it when you get back to the house.

Pit beef if you want to bring the SV. Easy, delicious and different for most people.

My vote would be for fajitas.  Flap meat marinated in Grill Mates fajita marinade or rub the morning of the dinner, grab some peppers and onions on the way in, and slice them morning of as well. Store bought guacamole (or make your own) and you are good to go. Leave the beach 30 mins before everyone else, light grill, sauté veggies, and when they are done, cook the flap meat hot and fast.  Buy that time everyone is back and ready to eat, and you are ready to serve.

It is vacation.  Take it easy and keep it simple. Unless you want to put in more effort.....

Oh BTW, I think OC NJ is still a dry town.   You have to obtain all adult beverages before going in. Getting in or out can be a challenge depending on time of day, so plan accordingly.

@Sea2Ski awesome stuff - greatly appreciated !!  Aware of the dry town, brother in-law is getting in first and promised to load up on beers & some liquor & Mother In-law has the mixers . . I’m on a tequila kick right now -  things could get messy after kids asleep.
