Sliced Tri-Tip

I went by Publix tonight to see if they had a Tri-Tip. None were out in the case, but they had sliced Tri-Tip.
It was cut into (1)inch wide x (5) inch x (3/4) thick strips.
Has anyone cooked these? if direct grilled like a steak are they reasonably tender?
Would they benefit from a marinade like Dale's?
I'm thinking of using these in a salad.
Thanks

Perfect for kabob strips. Marinade in what ever you like.
I like to pat dry after marinating so I get some char on the meat.
Hight heat fast cook.
Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas -
i buy them when priced right, a whole roast is expensive here and they are half price when cut into steaks. they are still good
fukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it
