Egg Genius question

Hello all!  Does the Egg Genius have the open lid/pit detection feature to pause the blower for a few minutes after the lid has been opened?

I know it notifies you when it thinks the dome is open but can't recall if it pauses the blower, I believe it does but don't quote me on that

Yes.  It's the same algorithm as the FB400 and 500.  If it detects a very quick drop in the pit temp, it will stop the fan and send a notification through the app.  Once you close the lid and it senses the rise, it will send another notification and go back to maintaining the set temp.

Have you looked at the FB500?  It has a 4-line screen, has a mounting bracket, can monitor 3 meats (no need to buy y-adapters).  It's not much more to get the 500.

Is the pause time user customizable?

I've used the FB200 in the past and prefer a headless device.  Just want to use the app to control it... provided that there aren't any features missing due to no physical controller.

It's not a pause for a certain amount of time......I believe it kicks back in when it senses the temp starting to rise again.  Either way it works the way it's supposed to--is there a reason you want to mess with it?

All of them going to be identical in the way they operate so long as the firmware is up to date.  The algorithm and app are the same.

400 is a 200 without the control head

500 is a 300 with a bigger screen, new mounting bracket, and multiple probe ports (no y-adapters)
