Waiting on the 34 pounds of pork butt - w/ pics

Well, I put them on my egg last night at 6 PM. The first issue was that I couldn't use my extended grid because the pork butts were so big that when I put the top two on I couldn't close the dome. So I went with the stand them on end on one grid. Right now they are sitting between 165-175. They have been there for several hours. Hopefully they'll be done by noon. Dome temp is 250.[p]Here is what they looked like right before I put them on[p][p]And the four of them on the egg[p][p]Have a great Fourth of July!!![p]

They are done!!!! 17 hours. Forgot to take the picture before I pulled the first one off. They are falling apart. Sitting in the cooler right now to be served 2 hours from now. [p][p]
Fresh ham for tomorrow is already brining.[p]John

The plan was for about 40 adults. There were some leftovers. [p]John

JM3,[p]There you go....for planning purposes keep the plan simple ....1 lb pre-cooked butt per person or butt expected...works everytime....and provides for those slim leftovers that are appreciated the following day...
