an XL even at a great price is still too much of a gamble for me. They seem to be very prone to cracking.

Idk. Mine is 4-5 years old. I don’t cook on it as much as my other eggs but it gets worked. Fire ring is the only crack I’ve dealt with. Low and slow to picanha to pizza.

My first XL is about 9 years old, no cracks. Same for my 1 year old XL. Maybe XL owners are more prone to whine about it? My larges have had many more cracks than my XLs. 

I’d pay $650 for that XL, that’s a good deal.

Looks like Facebook, in hatboro PA. A quick search in the hatboro marketplace yields no results. Price was too good to hang around.

XL's crack too frequently.  I have replaced 2 bases and the fire ring in the last 5 years under warranty.

Weird, the xl is the only egg I have not had warranty work on. Ive hadn’t it on the L, Med, Small, and mini.
