First three cooks

First post! Just got a L egg from my wife for my 28th birthday. I wanted to start off with a few easier cooks before getting to the real challenge, so I went to my local Bavarian meat market and picked up a sausage assortment. Cooked them indirect at 350F for about 25-30 minutes and they came out perfect.

Saturday I went to Costco and picked up some garlic marinaded chicken wings. Threw them on at 350F indirect for an hour an a half. Again, perfection.

Yesterday was the real test. I picked up a 7.5lb brisket for my birthday and started things off really early. I followed Dr. BBQ's brisket recipe and started with a pecan dry rub. Used pecan wood chips - I'll use chunks next time for longer lasting smoke. 250F indirect for 4 hours, flip for two hours, then foil with coffee for the last two. I think it turned out okay.

Thanks for all the inspiration! Can't wait to keep going. Pics below.
