Leg quarter conundrum

How many leg quarters have yall fit on a bge xl with the second tier? Deciding if I need to fire up the big pit or will I be fine on the xl. The big pit is a offset 500 gal propane tank and just takes more work.

New Orleans, Louisiana.
XL bge, Napoleon Prestige  Pro 665 (gasser) sad that it won't be used much anymore.

Depends on how much beer you have at your disposal. If you have plenty, then fire up the big boy. If not, then the XL.

Do a dry run. Go see how much chicken you can fit on the xl before you light it.

  • avoid your instinct to pack them tightly and close down airflow. You don’t ever want to choke your chicken in your grill.
