Winter Project, almost done!

This is my first post. My kids got me a LBGE last Fathers Day and I’ve been wanting a table. Read all of the forum posts and spent hours on Pinterest and finally started this project this winter and it’s a slow process in an unheated shop in central Ohio. I still have to seal the concrete top and of utmost importance get a proper beverage opener added!

Very nice, especially considering the miserable winter and you working in a cold shop.

Thanks for the nice comments. I didn’t think to give any details about the construction. The Green Emerald Ash Bore got an ash tree from my yard, I cut that down 2 years ago and a friend milled and dried the lumber. Did a little work with my propane torch then gray stain to give it a weathered barn look. Very happy with it. The concrete top did have a lot of air holes,I skimmed coated those and it came out pretty good, for first try.

Great job!I love the burn finish. Also surface hardens the wood.______________________________________________I love lamp..

Get that top sealed before your first cook or you'll be looking at stains forever.

I’m open to recommendations on a brand of concrete sealer to use. I’m not worried about a little color change, mostly want durability.
