Can you flip those grill grates over and have a flat surface to cook on? I grill more chicken parts (breasts mostly), fish and but occasionally toss a steak on (small one since it's just me). So having something that would easily work with those types of meats would be something worth looking at.Also, did you season those before the first cook? Not sure if I'm sold on grilling (high temp especially) with aluminum. Cast iron and stainless, yes.Large BGE with CGS Woo Ring, stone with stainless pan, Smokeware chimney cap, Kick Ash basket and Kick Ash can.Living free in the 603 (Pelham).

Yes, they are flat on the other side. You just season them with some cooking spray once. That's it.1911Man said:Can you flip those grill grates over and have a flat surface to cook on? What's wrong with grilling with aluminum? It's a great conductor of heat. You cant go nuclear with it, but you really dont need to. That's the beauty of it. Everybody winning the SCA championships are doing it with Grill Grates. -

(not my grates - just my favorite photo of some "overheated" grillgrates)“Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.” ― Philip K. Diçk
